About me
Dr. József Furák
PhD, med. habil, associate professor
With 23 years of experience in thoracic surgery and 25 years of experience in general surgery, I am currently the head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Clinic of Surgery of the University of Szeged. I have established several new surgical procedures during my career, both internationally and in Hungary.

The Department of Thoracic Surgery - which I am leading - has a European accreditation, while I personally hold the Speciality Exam of the European Board of Thoracic Surgery.
​
In addition to thoracic surgery, I am also providing consultancy of thyroid gland diseases and their surgical procedures.
